Algebra II
Algebra II can be a difficult subject, especially for those who are not as mathematically minded. Algebra II builds on the advanced skills acquired in Algebra I and is needed in the preparation for college-bound students pursuing a variety of disciplines. In Algebra II, more advanced functions are introduced. The concepts learned in Algebra I are applied to these advanced mathematical structures. Our Algebra II tutors work with students in all high school grades as well as with those who continue to struggle mathematically in college. Our math tutors help prepare students for college-level studies across all disciplines. Whether it is one particular concept or the whole subject, Conejo Valley Tutoring can help clarify, teach, and explain the content of Algebra II. Some of the main concepts covered in Algebra II consist of:
- Understand how algebraic functions are related to their graphs
- Become familiar with quadratic functions and their graphs
- Understand inverse functions and their importance
- Be able to perform advanced polynomial functions including second and third degree polynomials
- Apply algebraic concepts to rational, exponential, and logarithmic functions
- Learn about conic sections and their properties
- Learn about matrices and become proficient in basic matrix operations
- Identify sequences and series and be able to express them algebraically
