WE PROVIDE ONLINE TUTORING!
Conejo Valley Tutoring offers highly effective one-on-one academic tutoring in the convenience of the student’s home, focusing on scholastic improvement and building confidence. Our tutoring program is comprised of highly qualified tutors. We pride ourselves in thinking outside the box and working with our students’ strengths while identifying their weaknesses to further their understanding of the subject matter. Our population consists primarily of K to 12th grade students. In addition, we also work with numerous college-level students.
Typical sessions are 1 hour long and take place in the student’s home or online. We recommend 1 hour per week, per subject. This is encouraged to be increased during finals. Sessions are permitted to be extended when necessary as long as both parties consent and payment is made at the end of the session. Please see our list of subjects and skills offered as it may change and expand as we continue to grow.
History
Conejo Valley Tutoring was founded on February 20, 2013 by Dustin Weissman, Psy.D. After tutoring for the previous six years independently and working for tutoring companies, Dr. Weissman decided that he wanted to channel his passion for teaching and ingenuity for entrepreneurship into the creation of Conejo Valley Tutoring. The company’s debut launch was fall 2013 with the new school year. The company is based out of Agoura Hills, CA and operates within Los Angeles County, Ventura County, and Santa Barbara County.
As of Fall 2017, Conejo Valley Tutoring offers services in Santa Barbara, Goleta, Ventura, Ojai, Oxnard, Camarillo, Santa Paula, Fillmore, Port Hueneme, and Somis.
Referral Program
Tell your friends and earn money from their sessions!
For individuals referring our services we will be offering a $5 credit for tutoring for every session up to 10 sessions that are referred. For example, Mrs. Jones refers Bobby Smith to receive tutoring from Conejo Valley Tutoring. After Bobby’s first session, Mrs. Smith will have earned a $5 credit. She refers 1 more friend, Johnny Steiner. Each of her 2 referrals has 6 sessions. She has accumulated $60 in credits and thus 1 free session for her daughter, Lisa Jones.* Anyone can participate in this referral program and has unlimited earning potential with the exception of each referral capping at 10 sessions and that the credits expire at the end of the school year. Tell your friends and family, as we’re sure a few of them would like to earn some free or largely discounted, high quality tutoring. Just to put this in perspective, if you were to refer just 6 people who all had at least 10 sessions, you will have earned yourself $300 worth of free sessions.
